Love Heart Foundation is a founding-stage Kenyan charitable trust with one conviction: the trust a foundation deserves should be measurable, not asked for. This page is where the measuring starts, and it will grow more detailed with every document we can publish.
How the model works

Partners fund
Companies and, later, individuals fund published units and costed projects. Funds are held, not spent, on arrival.

Kenya delivers
Vetted Kenyan delivery partners are paid milestone by milestone to procure locally and deliver in their own counties.

Uwazi proves
Every movement lands on the ledger, paired with field verification, and re-checked a year later. Failures publish too.
Governance commitments
These are being written into the trust deed and policies now, so they bind us before the first shilling ever moves.
Every shilling on the ledger
100% of partner-designated funds are tracked on Uwazi from receipt to verified delivery. Our operating costs are funded separately and published with the same rigour.
Local procurement, always
Goods and services are bought in Kenya, from Kenyan suppliers, as close to the project county as practical. We do not ship donated goods into Kenya.
Milestone-gated release
Funds move in stages, released only when the previous milestone is verified in person. No verification, no release.
We publish failure
Delayed projects, cost overruns and things that did not work are published on the same ledger as the successes. Credibility that only reports good news is not credibility.
Annual independent audit
Audited accounts published every year, with our overhead ratio benchmarked against named international comparators.
Honest about the limits
A ledger record proves a transfer happened. It cannot by itself prove a borehole flows. That is why every record is paired with human field verification, and we say so plainly.
Trustees & team
Founding trustees are being confirmed and will be published here with photographs, biographies and declarations of interest. A transparency foundation with an anonymous board would be a contradiction; this section stays honest until it can be full.

Financials
No funds have been collected and none will be until registration completes. From year one: audited accounts published annually, the overhead ratio benchmarked against named international comparators, and tax-exemption status documented for Kenyan, UK and US partners.

No track record exists yet. That is why nothing here claims one, why funds are milestone-gated, and why founding partners get verification rights most foundations never offer.
The last mile is hard
Money can be tracked perfectly and a project can still disappoint. Independent verification, published re-checks and public failure reporting are how we keep that honest.
Currency and cost drift
Unit prices are planning figures until locked with suppliers. If a price moves, the menu updates publicly; funded commitments are honoured at the price the partner saw.
Verification has costs
Independent monitors and return visits cost real money. We budget them into every project openly instead of pretending proof is free.

Love Heart Foundation is being established as a Kenyan charitable trust. Registration details, governing documents and policies will be published on this page the moment they are issued. Until then, we describe ourselves as founding-stage and nothing on this site claims completed impact.
Why should a company partner with a brand-new foundation?+
Because founding partners get what late partners never can: the transparency architecture shaped around their reporting needs, founding recognition on every project they fund, and proof their customers can audit rather than marketing claims. And because every foundation you admire was once exactly here.
Does the ledger use blockchain?+
The ledger is designed so every record is tamper-evident and independently checkable, and blockchain anchoring is part of that design. We lead with what it proves rather than the technology, because a hash cannot drill a borehole. Every machine record is paired with human field verification.
Why don't you ship donated goods to Kenya?+
Because evidence shows donated imports undercut the local traders and makers who are the real, lasting answer. Research on shipped shoe donations found roughly one local sale lost for every twenty pairs given away. We buy from Kenyan suppliers instead, so every unit funded pays a Kenyan business to serve a Kenyan community.
