Commitments we are building into the constitution
Every shilling on the ledger
100% of partner-designated funds are tracked on Uwazi from receipt to verified delivery. Our operating costs are funded separately and published with the same rigour.
Local procurement, always
Goods and services are bought in Kenya, from Kenyan suppliers, as close to the project county as practical. We do not ship donated goods into Kenya.
Milestone-gated release
Funds move in stages, released only when the previous milestone is verified in person. No verification, no release.
We publish failure
Delayed projects, cost overruns and things that did not work are published on the same ledger as the successes. Credibility that only reports good news is not credibility.
Annual independent audit
Audited accounts published every year, with our overhead ratio benchmarked against named international comparators.
Honest about the limits
A ledger record proves a transfer happened. It cannot by itself prove a borehole flows. That is why every record is paired with human field verification, and we say so plainly.
Registration as a Kenyan charitable trust is in progress. Governing documents, trustees and audited accounts publish here as they are issued.
